Type 35 RAF Radio Loudspeaker IOU/204 Made For The Air Ministry
This is a WW2 Type 35 RAF Radio Loudspeaker IOU/204 Made For The Air Ministry with a brass plate on the front of the speaker case.
The wood cased loudspeaker is in fair condition with a RAF blue paint finish. It has paint loss, surface scuffs and blemishes commensurate with age and use. The speaker cone is intact with two bakelite wire connectors at the rear; it hasn't been tested. The speaker grille at the front is covered with a fine mesh which is discoloured. There is no rear cover.
It was made as both a wall hanging and a free standing unit with four rubber feet; one of the feet is missing.

It would have been used as a part of the airfield's public address system.
